A Raymond man flees from the scene of a car crash and then eludes police, but you'll never guess why he did it.
A 27-year-old Raymond man was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving, and fleeing and eluding police officers at 2:05 a.m. Friday on Northwestern Avenue and County Trunk Highway V. According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, officers were trying to locate a suspect who had fled the scene of a truck crash on Interstate 94. Officers were parked in the 3900 block of Highway V when the police saw a speeding truck traveling about 90 mph weaving and operating left of center. When the officers started to pursue the driver of the truck, and the truck blew through stop signs at Highway K at Highway V, and at the West Frontage Road at Golf Road.
