On a cold night in Caledonia, more than two dozen people walked into the Caledonia Community Center to the smell of warm bread and the sound of an even warmer welcome. Staci Joers was holding her monthly cooking class, and fans wouldn’t miss it. “I think Staci is such a multi-talented lady; from cooking to chemistry, she knows it all,” said Sharon Best, of Racine, who’s been coming to Joers’ classes regularly for six years. “Everything she teaches is very doable at home, and even if I don’t use all the recipes, I always learn about a new technique, spice or food I can incorporate.
