A 22-year-old Pleasant Prairie man is accused of crashing into an SUV while driving drunk and speeding through Caledonia Friday. Kevin T. Rasch was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Monday with one count of causing injury while intoxicated and six counts of second-degree reckless endangerment. If convicted, he faces up to 31 years in prison and $152,000 in fines. A Union Grove woman finds out the hard way that her costume choice should have been well thought out in case she was pulled over by the police.
Turns out that wearing a naughty nurse costume isn’t really conducive to performing a proper field sobriety test at 3 a.m. on a Sunday morning. According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, an 18-year-old Union Grove woman donning a nurse’s costume was arrested for operating left of center, drunk driving, possession of open intoxicants, having a prohibited blood alcohol level and possession of marijuana. An officer was traveling northbound on Highway 31 from Harvest Lane when he realized a car, traveling in the wrong direction, was driving towards him.
