Caledonia Boy Wins The Top Prize With His Google Doodle
You know those really cute Google logo drawings? Well Dylan Hoffman, a student at Prairie School, earned enough votes to beat out the other finalists and now he's won a hefty sum of money for college and his school.
Who knew little Dylan Hoffman's Google doodle would garner so much support, and quite a bit of attention. But he earned it, according to a story in the Journal Times. The seven-year-old Caledonia boy took out his markers and drew a pirate-themed Google logo that has earned him a spot among 50 finalists in their Doodle 4 Google competition. So what did Dylan and his mom, Katherin “I fainted,” Dylan said. His mom, Katharina Hoffman, quickly clarified — he didn’t faint, but he was almost falling down from excitement. “He was kind of shocked a little bit, it’s just quite a bit for a little boy,” said Katherina Hoffman, 37, a project manager.
