Challenger Comes Out Ahead of 2 Incumbents for Racine Unified Board

The Racine Unified community chose to keep two incumbents on the ballot for the April general election, but a challenger came out on top overall during this primary.

The ballots are in, and the votes have been counted. Racine Unified voters chose a challenger over two board incumbents in Tuesday's primary election. Mike Frontier came out on top with a total vote count of 4,082, or 14 percent of the total ballots cast. Incumbents Chris Eperjesy and Julie McKenna round out the top three with 3,235 (11.26 percent) and 2,897 votes (10 percent), respectively. The top six vote-getters will advance to the April general election. Also in the top six are Robert Wittke, Jr. (2,737, or 9.53 percent), Roger Pfost (2,416, 8.14 percent) and Kristie Formolo (1,704,or 5.93 percent). Voters will next head to the polls on April 2.
