N.J. Governor Christie Stumps for Walker at Oak Creek Campaign Stop
Showing his support for Republican Wisconsin governor, Chris Christie said the situation facing New Jersey was similar to that in the Badger State.
Lightning rods, GOP rock stars — Chris Christie and Scott Walker share some of the same labels on the national political scene. On Tuesday, they shared a stage in Oak Creek as the New Jersey governor rallied a partisan crowd to support Walker as he faces a recall election June 5. Christie said New Jersey faced some of the same challenges as Wisconsin when he took office. Like Walker, he followed a Democratic administration and was forced to take on a massive deficit with a population already overtaxed, he said. I do not want to be responsible to others that's why the individual mandate is important to me. What I glean from your response is that the Insurance Industry should not be mandated to only make a 20% profit on premiums collected. This is at the heart of someone sitting behind a desk denying coverages to bloat profits. While this might be ok in some businesses... we are talking health care here. …   more ›
