Lightwire Theater From America's Got Talent Here Next Week
Lightwire Theater, a performance group that uses full-body puppetry lit by wires of light, will present its version of two children's tales in Racine Feb. 23.
Lightwire Theater, a finalist on America's Got Talent in 2012, will perform in Racine at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. The company uses light, dance and music to tell stories. The performance here interprets Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling and Aesop's The Tortoise and the Hare. The single performance will be at Memorial Hall, part of the Racine Civic Centre. Lightwire Theater was in the 48 finalists in the running for the AGT million-dollar prize. Ticket prices—including taxes and fees, as purchased on the Civic Centre website—range from $19.95-$32.95. And while they last, you can get Ugly Duckling tickets for 40 percent off through Groupon. The Journal Times has more on how the Civic Centre brought the troup here.
