Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch: We Are Moving Wisconsin Forward

Republican lieutenant governor says Wisconsin is "in better shape today than we were before, and we're not done yet."

With a collective sigh of relief, we can now look back at the time since Governor Walker and I took office, and size up the accomplishments of the last two years.  Although we've seen things unprecedented and unpredictable, our experiences have made us stronger. We have a lot to be proud of. Our successes give us new perspective, though, and through the lens of a state pursuing economic competitiveness, we see we have a lot of room to grow in our future. Despite the rampant wrong turns from our federal government, Wisconsin is finally on the path to prosperity. We inherited a $3.6 billion budget deficit that has been balanced without raising taxes. Another set of facts of raising taxes of the rich never achieves its goal. The rich just move or do what they have to do....WE NEED TO WORK TO LOWER TAXES IN WI. We dont have a Woods or Mickelson, but why would any company or person live here if we dont create a great business and tax climate. Tiger Woods is the prime example. He "moved" to FL in 1996. Kleefisch Visits Racine to Promote the Big Bundle Up

Real Racine is a drop-off center for new and gently used winter gear to help local neighbors bundle up against the Wisconsin winter.

Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch stopped in Racine County Tuesday to help promote the Big Bundle Up winter clothing drive. Similar to the mitten drive last winter, the Big Bundle Up aims to help our less fortunate neighbors gear up against the cold of winter.  "Last year started as a kind of competition between Wisconsin and Michigan for which state looked more like a mitten," Kleefisch said. "But this year we expanded past mittens to coats, hats, and scarves." More than 3,100 pairs of mittens or gloves were donated in 2011, and Kleefisch hopes to beat that number this year. "I know we can do it because the people of Wisconsin are generous and giving," she added. The drive started the first week of December and runs through Jan. 4. Donations of …

On Thursday, Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch delivered the weekly radio address titled Small Business Summit. The following is the transcript from her address: Hi I’m Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch. This week marks the end of October as National Manufacturing Month.  You probably already know we lead the nation in making cheese, and you definitely know the Packers will always be at the top. But did you know that Wisconsin still ranks first among the 50 states in manufacturing jobs per capita?  That’s right! And we’re making strides to improve our business climate and improve our workforce to make Wisconsin even better for manufacturers, other small businesses, and our great citizens.  We’re doing this by listening to you.  At last year’s…
