Caledonia residents will see water savings because officials looked to the future growth, development and service needs of the village.
The construction of a new 750,000 gallon water tower and a 1.5 million gallon storage unit will save Caledonia residents money in the long run. Though it isn't going to be an obvious savings immediately apparent on a bill, village property owners will save on their homeowners insurance because the new water tower helps make sure there's enough pressure for fire protection. More, cell phone companies will pay Caledonia to put their equipment on the tower, and the fees the carriers pay will help fund the tower's maintenance. A new, 1.5 million attentuation basin, or storage tank, on Northwestern Avenue will be completed later this summer. When it's finished, Caledonia will be able to control how much sewer flows back to the City of Racine…

Price matching is a fairly new addition to the Walmartosphere. It means that if any other store has an item on sale cheaper than what Walmart's price is, they'll give it to you for that price. Now, their policy says you don't need the advertisement or flier stating the price you'd…

I completely oppose his proposal and I’m proud to be part of an effort to Save SeniorCare, organized by one of my Assembly Democratic colleagues, State Rep. Andy Jorgensen (D-Fort Atkinson), and various advocates for the senior community. SeniorCare, the low-cost prescription drug program for seniors, is under attack in Governor Walker’s proposed biennial budget. Walker’s proposal forces seniors to enroll in Medicare Part D, the cumbersome and unpopular program that costs participants hundreds of dollars more each year. SeniorCare saves taxpayers money by negotiating with drug companies for much lower prices. It has been so effective that in 2009, …

Until Caledonia extends water mains the Water Tower will not impact insurance rates in Caledonia. This tower only replaces the failing water tower in Crestview. Sorry.   more ›
