A Racine man has been charged with reckless endangerment for firing shots at an apartment complex on April 23 in Caledonia. According to the criminal complaint, Rick Crain of Racine is charged with five counts of reckless endangerment for allegedly firing several shots at a vehicle in the 4300 block of Kennedy Drive in Caledonia after a fight. Witnesses state that Crain, or "Macho," shot at their vehicle as they left an apartment complex after a fight between one of the occupants of the car, Michael Andresen, and a resident, Danial Pavia, of the apartment where Andresen had been keeping some of his belongings. A woman is accused of shooting a gun at her neighbor’s apartment after the neighbor had filed a loud noise complaint against her. Rebecca L Sawin, 28, of Caledonia, was charged with two felony counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, manufacturing and delivering marijuana, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office this morning. If convicted of all charges, Sawin faces up to 32 years nine months in prison and fines up to $72,500. Shots barely missed hitting two men after fight broke out at a party.
Charges are being sought against one man suspected of hosting a party where he allegedly sold 'hits' of nitrous oxide, and another man who shot at two partygoers. No one was injured during the incident and the names of the men are being withheld until formal charges have been filed. Officials with the Caledonia Police Department have recommended to the Racine County District Attorney's office that the man who hosted the party be charged with possession with intent to distribute or deliver nitrous oxide, contributing to the delinquency of a child, obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
