Southridge officially announced new tenants Buca di Beppo, Chico's, LOFT, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Old Navy at today's renovation completion ceremony.
Southridge Mall announced today that Old Navy, which left the mall in June, and Buca di Beppo will be coming into the mall. Longhorn Steakhouse, Chico's, and LOFT will also be joining the tenant mix in 2013. "This is an exciting time for Southridge Mall and the local community," said Mary Mokwa, Southridge Mall Manager. "The complete renovation has added a diverse array of new retail and dining options to our tenant mix, and we're proud to share them with our loyal shoppers and visitors in this beauty beautifully updated shopping space." Video game fanatics around the Milwaukee area will be happy to hear that the 2012 Simon GamePlay tour will come to Southridge Mall later this month. The free event will connect gamers of all ages to the hottest video games before they are officially launched and available in stores on Saturday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, Sept. 30 during regular mall hours in Center Court. Simon GamePlay, powered by Coke Zero, will take place in 27 Simon® properties around the country. Politicos trying to force Wisconsin's governor into a recall election are planning to be out among the frenzy of shoppers.
As if Black Friday needed more craziness. The annual shopping frenzy will have a dash of the political this year as supporters of an effort to recall Gov. Scott Walker plan to circulate petitions among the deal-hungry masses. Wisconsin Democrats are planning to collect signatures in the Milwaukee area at several stores, including: Recall supporters won't have any luck at Southridge Mall, said Mary Mokwa, manager of the mall. Collecting signatures is a form of soliciting, Mokwa said, and the mall allows no soliciting inside of the building or in its parking lot.
