Racine Unified School Board Election: What Questions Do You Have?

Who's running for Racine School Board? What do they stand for? And what else do you want to know about these six candidates?

Voters will choose from a field of six candidates to fill three spots on the Racine Unified School board on April 2. In the primary in February, Mike Frontier came out on top with a total vote count of 4,082, or 14 percent of the total ballots cast. Incumbents Chris Eperjesy and Julie McKenna round out the top three with 3,235 (11.26 percent) and 2,897 votes (10 percent), respectively. The top six vote-getters will advance to the April general election. Also in the top six are Robert Wittke, Jr. (2,737, or 9.53 percent), Roger Pfost (2,416, 8.14 percent) and Kristie Formolo (1,704,or 5.93 percent). I beieve it makes complete sense to both run for school board and support school choice. Every CEO or board member welcomes competition in the real world, because they know it motivates their people, keeps them on their toes and makes them better. Caledonia Candidates Prepare for Spring Election

Three trustee seats and the village president seat are open for election April 2.

So far, only one Caledonia Village trustee race will be contested in the April elections. Three trustee seats and the village president position are open for election April 2. Village Board President Ronald Coutts has filed for re-election. Trustee position No. 1 is open, as Trustee Kathy Burton is not running for re-election. Ed Willing has filed candidacy papers for that position. In trustee position No. 3, incumbent Kevin Wanggaard has filed for re-election. No one else has filed papers in that race. Trustee Jim Dobbs, who is in trustee position No. 5, is also running for re-election. Richard Frazier has also filed papers as a candidate for that position.
