Train Blocked Traffic For Over An Hour, Union Pacific Sent Citations
Stuck on the tracks for over an hour, Caledonia Police issue a pricey citation to Union Pacific.
A Caledonia Police officer cited Union Pacific Railroad five times for blocking traffic at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday. The officer was on patrol at Four Mile Road and Nicholson Road when he noticed the train was idling on the track. He called Union Pacific and the conductor told the officer the train had mechanical problems. However, the tickets were issued anyway because the roadway had been shutdown for an hour and 15 minutes. Each ticket carries a price tag of $447.90 a piece. Sgt. Yeh, understaffed!!! While we're still getting harassed with extremely loud exhaust. Where are the Sheirffs if they can't handle all the crime around here. But hey, they have a really nice police department. I've been telling the Cal.PD. for YEARS all the times they harass, I can't make THEIR JOB any easier unless I take care of my own business, but then I'll probably get arrested.   more ›
