Paul Ryan: "Thrilled to be a Part of America's Comeback Team"

Here are comments from U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan to deliver in Norfolk, Va. Saturday morning after being selected as the running mate by Mitt Romney.

Here are excerpts from the speech that U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan is expected to deliver Saturday morning after being chosen as the running mate for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. ____________________________________ Mitt Romney is a leader with the skills, the background and the character that our country needs at a crucial time in its history. Following four years of failed leadership, the hopes of our country, which have inspired the world, are growing dim; and they need someone to revive them. Governor Romney is the man for this moment; and he and I share one commitment: we will restore the dreams and greatness of this country. For the last 14 years, I have proudly represented Wisconsin in Congress. There, I have focused on …

Wisconsin's Paul Ryan is Romney's VP Pick

Republican say selection of Janesville congressman is a bold move.

It’s as good as official: Wisconsin’s Paul Ryan will be Mitt Romney’s running mate, the Romney campaign announced early Saturday. NJ Gov. Chris Christie to Campaign with Scott Walker in Milwaukee, Green Bay

The GOP 'rock star' plans to join Gov. Scott Walker during his last month of the campaign before the Wisconsin recall election.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie — often dubbed one of the "rock stars" of the Republican party — is headed to Wisconsin next month to campaign for Gov. Scott Walker. The May 1 visit to Green Bay and Milwaukee comes about one month before the Republican governor will try to retain his seat in the state's historic recall election. Details were sketchy, but it appears anyone who wants to attend one of the two events will have to contribute $20 to Walker and will then be entered into a drawing for the chance to take part. "With your $20 contribution to Governor Walker’s campaign, you will be given a chance to not only see these two men of action in person, but will have a keepsake of a lifetime to take home with you," according to an email the …
