Admitted Addict Tried Passing Forged Prescription at Walgreen's, Policy Say

Racine Police say a Milwaukee woman was nabbed at Walgreen's after she tried to obtain Oxycodone with a forged prescription.

Despite her promises not to do it again, Racine Police took a Milwaukee woman into custody Saturday after they say she tried to pass a forged prescription at Walgreen's. Lynda Whitemore, 49, was charged Monday in Racine County Circuit Court with one count each of repeat uttering a forgery and repeat attempt to obtain a controlled substance by use of fraud. She also faces two charges of repeat obstructing an officer. If convicted of all charges, Whitemore could see 10-1/2 years in prison and up to $35,000 in fines. Because she is considered a repeat offender, Whitemore could get additional jail time for the first two counts. According to the criminal complaint, Racine Police were called to the Walgreen's at Ohio and Washington Avenues …
