A new frozen yogurt shop is now open and welcoming the community to indulge in tasty treats sold by the ounce.
Mount Pleasant's newest treatery is now open, and smiles were everywhere Thursday as folks tasted a variety of flavor combinations at Cherry Berry in Mount Pleasant. From little girls who said they might be more careful during future visits when putting flavors together to Racine County Sheriff Chris Schmaling who boldly filled his cup with almost every taste available, visitors to Cherry Berry's opening night had nothing but good things to say. The store officially opened Friday, but Thursday night was a free-for-all taste extravaganza. Katie Kohlman, 17, said it was about time the area got a frozen yogurt shop. Cherry Berry invites the community to its opening day party where everything is on them.
Cherry Berry in Mount Pleasant is celebrating its opening with free treats for all from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. The store is located at 2860 S. Green Bay Road, next to US Cellular at Highways 11 and 31. It officially opens on Friday, but Thursday's event is the company's way of both promoting their frozen yogurt and officially becoming a member of the community. And the free treats tomorrow aren't sample sizes of just a few flavors and toppings. Owner Tom Wilcox told Patch in October that's just not how they do things. We have berry good news! A shop featuring frozen yogurt flavors finished by a myriad of tasty toppings is expected to open around Thanksgiving. And opening day means free yogurt for all!
Frozen yogurt shop Cherry Berry is the final tenant for the Shops of Mount Pleasant, and it is expected to open its doors sometime around Thanksgiving. The store is taking the space between Mattress Firm and U.S. Cellular at the corner of Highways 11 and 31. Tom Wilcox, franchise owner of a handful of Cherry Berry locations in Wisconsin, said he's been looking at the Racine-area market for some time, and believes he has found the best spot. "We're really looking forward to coming to Mount Pleasant," he said. "We're going to have fantastic neighbors and really could not have found a more perfect location." @Hoffa - soooooo delicious! I had a combination of regular vanilla and cheesecake flavored yogurt topped with sliced almonds and some of every kind of fresh fruit offered (including mango!). I highly recommend a visit ... or several. more ›
