Republicans Leave Jobs Bills Undone
Rep. Cory Mason issued this statement about the end of the latest Legislative session. He is critical of Republican claims that Wisconsin's economy is improving.
When the gavel came down on the Republican-controlled legislative session, more than 60 bills designed to create jobs and grow our economy died. Republicans blatantly disregarded Wisconsin’s job crisis and turned their back on dozens of measures that could have helped Wisconsin’s struggling families. Since Gov. Walker took office, our state’s jobs numbers have gone in only one direction – down. While the nation as a whole has added jobs 17 straight months, Wisconsin lost more jobs than any other state over the past year – despite the governor’s promise to create 250,000 jobs. @Rees - As TVP pointed out, it would be nice if Cory could reference the bills he's talking about. As it is, we're left to speculate. Vos's article is fantastic in that he is actually pinpoint specific with the bills he references and discusses. Not to sound divisive, but Mason's reputation on Patch is for being very general, non-specific, and constantly attacking his partisan opposition as …   more ›
