About Heather

I am a mom, wife, animal lover and TV junkie. Chocolate is my best friend and my worst enemy. My sense of humor can be both charming and annoying. I am opinionated, compassionate and intuitive. And I make a mean BBQ sauce. I have lived in Racine my entire life and in Mount Pleasant for the past 8 years. Yea, that pretty much sums me up!!

Hey HRG,

Come and check out my first film review as a part of a new feature that I started over on the Mount Pleasant-Sturtevant and Caledonia Patches.

Haha! Thanks!! My husband's friend called to let us know. Normally I listen too, but I took Tylenol PM last night and was still out like a light :) So excited...not sure what I won exactly, but they are suppose to call me soon. Thanks for the heads up, that was very thoughtful of you. I often wonder which Patch and TJT people listen to WRJN in the mornings...I always wonder if I am the only one, now I know that I am not alone LOL. Have a great day!!

HRG:

I was listening to am 1400 (WRJN) this morning (tues, 12/20/11), and an announcement was made that you had won a $50 gift certificate.

You may want to follow up with this. Congrats.

Actually, I do know how damaging false accusations can be, as a victim myself (it's a long story). That’s one of the reasons why I choose to use a ‘screen name’ here on Patch, although, you and Heather A know who I really am from our past conversations over on facebook.

Also, the man I took my screen name from understood this perfectly as well, as he was infamous for stating during a speech at a Teamster’s convention "any man can have an accusation thrown at him; Am I immune; are you?"

And as I'm sure you already know, I wouldn't ever post any personal information about any controversial or contested issue that was shady or unresolved – even from CCAP. I was using the information to debunk Taylor’s claims as opposed to using it to condemn Collins’ for the crime that he was convicted of (he was actually in possession of the stolen property), and didn’t mean anything by doing so other than that. Just as I stated in my post, Collins may very well be a different person today and I wasn’t prepared to pass any kind of judgment on him as a person, only on his past criminal activities.

I know we understand each other at heart, and no explanation is ever needed during a politically motivated debate on one of the boards as nothing in that respect should ever be held personally between us, although I do appreciate it. Just as I hope that you know to never hold any of my arguments as being personally against you – as I assure you, they never are meant to be anything more than intellectual and/or political/ideological debates.

And if you ever need anyone to help provide you with some third party or non-family/unbiased perspective on your self value or worth, I’m always willing to listen and talk – just contact me through facebook and I’ll give you my phone number. I’ve been there too and often times thought about ending it all, until I realized just how stupid I was being. I also realize the value of a support network when you start to feel that way. I just want you to know that I’m there for you and that I’m glad to hear that your recent medical tests went well :-)
