Being a welcome family is an opportunity to have a taste of hosting without the full-year commitment. If you are willing to do this, we inform the student in advance that you are a temporary host family and that they will definitely be moving to another permanent family. Just imagine sharing the beauty and history of your community and your family’s traditions with an exchange student. Picture seeing the United States through the youthful eyes of an inquisitive teen, and rediscovering the simple things that we often take for granted...a baseball or football game, a community picnic, even window-shopping at the mall!
