Let's Talk Turkey!

How do you prepare for Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving at the Lockwood-Davis household is organized chaos. I often have more than 60 people at my house, but I love it. Why? Because I have so many people helping me cook and clean up. I often search for the monster of all turkeys. One year, I had a 28-pound turkey, a 13-pound turkey and a 10-pound ham. We also make buns the night before, which has also become a party in itself. But on Thanksgiving Day, I put the turkey into the oven and the ham into a roaster, and then everyone else brings a dish to pass. By 2 p.m. my job is done and I can enjoy the afternoon.

So, what do you do to prepare for Thanksgiving? What saves you money? What saves you time? What helps you keep the peace? What recipes does your family rave about?
