Susan Schwaab Earns Human Services Award

When it comes to volunteers, Schwaab delivers.

Susan Schwaab is among 12 individuals who will be honored for their volunteerism at a ceremony and luncheon.

As a Meals on Wheels driver, Susan delivers meals to homebound seniors.  She volunteered  at the former Rest Program, and now assists at Racine County Food Bank,  the Sack Lunch Program for kids in need.  Susan is also a Big Sister, an active member of Maya Works, and teaches Sunday School at her church.

The 12 were chosen based on volunteer accomplishments, impact on an individual group or community, and leadership from nominations submitted by area individuals and nonprofit organizations.

A reception and silent auction will be held from 11:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, April 15 at the Racine Marriott.  The welcome luncheon is from noon to 12:45 p.m. and concludes with awards program by 1:30 p.m.  Tickets are available at the Volunteer Center of Racine County, 886-9612.
