Olympia Brown Flag Pole Prayer for Sandy Hook

This Friday, December 21st, people are going to meet around the flag pole at Olympia Brown Elementary school from 7:20 a.m. until 7:45 a.m. to be led in prayer, by Pastor Sam Jackson of Grace Church, for the children and teachers that lost their lives at Sandy Hook and for their families and community.  We are also going to have a moment of silence because it will be the 1 week anniversary.  This is open to anyone and everyone and is NOT limited to any specific religion.  We need to come together as a community and show our children that we care, that we are standing together and that we will do whatever necessary to keep them safe and reassure them.  If you are planning on coming, and I sincerely hope that you do, please park down the office side driverway to prevent any delays for the busses and the start of the school day.  Please bring your children as well!  Imagine how motivating and comforted our children will feel to arrive at school on Friday morning and see dozens and dozens of people, parents and classmates gathered around a flag flying at half mast in honor of 20 children and 6 teachers that were taken too early, there to try to make a difference!
