Wheaten Franciscan-All Saints Sexual Assault Treatment Center and the Sexual Assault Services of Lutheran Social Services have teamed up to create an important, but spirited wine-tasting fundraiser to support the SAS program in the Racine community.
Held at the popular downtown business, Uncorkt, this evening event will feature delectable vittles along with wine (and beer) and a silent auction. Tickets to a Marquette basketball game, weekend getaways, baskets of fine chocolate, are just a few of the items available at the silent auction.
According to organizer, Terri DeWalt, all proceeds will directly benefit sexual assault and abuse survivors. Partially funded by the United Way, SAS provides counseling, resource information, and comfort to victims 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
