Bicyclist Struck By Car In Caledonia

Man was taken to the hospital after he was struck by a car while he was riding his bicycle on North Green Bay Road.

A man, who said he was riding his bicycle home from a bar, was struck by a car.

An injured man was found lying in the middle of the street 9:05 p.m. Jan. 25, 2012 on Green Bay Road at Four Mile Road, but when police arrived they found him walking down Kennedy Drive.

According to a report by the t, the complainant had followed him. The man, who had blood on his face, told police he was struck by a car when he was walking his bicycle on North Green Bay Road.

The complainant told police he was driving his car southbound on North Green Bay Road when he thought he hit a deer at first, but then saw that he had struck a man “tangled up in a bicycle in the middle of the roadway on the dividing line.” The complainant spoke to the injured man, who didn’t want him to call for help and he started walking southbound on North Green Bay Road. But the man driving the car, called the police anyway and rescue responded to treat the man’s injuries.

After the man was treated at the hospital, the injured man told police he was struck by a car and was flipped into a ditch. He didn’t know the make or model of the car that struck him. The man said he had been drinking at a nearby tavern in the area.
