Caledonia Firefighters Battle House Fire

No one was injured, but the home has damage.

No one was injured in a house fire that happened at 5246 Gallant Fox Road this afternoon.

Battalion Chief, Gene Roeder, said a passerby reported the fire and called 911 at about 3 p.m.

The fire started on the first floor and spread to the second floor. Firefighters ventilated the home by smashing out several windows on the back and front of the home.

Roeder said he doesn't know the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.

However, The fire remains under investigation. Personnel in fire engines and ambulances responded from Caledonia, and a fire engine from Racine served as back up for the fire.
