Child Porn Defendant Pleads Not Guilty To Child Sex Charges

Alex Richter, 28, of Racine, is accused of making sex tapes of children that he was supposed to be babysitting. He made an appearance in Racine County court today.

A 28-year-old Racine man accused of multiple child sex crimes pleaded not guilty to 49 felony counts this morning in a Racine County courtroom.

Alex Richter wore a bulletproof apron from his shoulders to his ankles when he waived his preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to both cases against him. Between the two cases, a total of 49 felony counts of child sex assault, child pornography and exploitation of children/filming have been levied against Richter.

So far, six children have been named victims in the cases. A mother of one of the victims was in court and was visibly shaking as she exited the courtroom after Richter entered his plea. She was seen talking to members of the victim-witness team following the court proceedings.
