CRIME BLOTTER: Thieves Break Into Cars and Burglar Takes Church’s Donations

Is Your Refrigerator Running? YES

A large stainless steel refrigerator was taken sometime between 5:40 and 5:43 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at the Meadow’s Restaurant, 10615 Northwestern Avenue. Police suspect two men took the refrigerator away in an older model, full size pickup truck that was possibly white or silver, and could have either been a Chevrolet or a Ford.  The value of the items is estimated at $575.

Two fleece jackets, a sweatshirt, pants, and a t-shirt were taken from a car sometime between 9 p.m. Dec. 12 and 7 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 3600 block of Partridge Terrace.

Two cars had been rummaged through and some items had been taken from one vehicle sometime between 10 p.m. Dec. 12 and 5:45 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 4600 block of Stonebridge Drive. The family minivan was also entered, however, missing from it was a black nylon CD case used to hold his daughter's DVDs and CDs.

A 12-inch speaker box and a bottle of medication were taken from two cars were entered between 10:30 p.m. Dec 12 and 8 a.m. Dec. 13 a residence in the 4600 block of Four Mile Road.

Three dollars in coins were taken from a car sometime between 11 p.m. Dec. 12 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 4600 block of North Green Bay Road.

A GPS unit, which was in a car, was taken sometime before 5:38 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 3000 block of Northbridge Dr. The GPS unit is valued at $200.

Two unlocked vehicles were rummaged through and a CB radio was taken sometime before 5:15 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 4700 of Green Bay Road. The radio was valued at $500.

Church Burglars Take Off With Donation Money

About $200 in donation money and two doors were damaged sometime between 3 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8:40 a.m. Dec. 11 at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 5040 Northwestern Ave.
