Cops Win Hide and Seek With Suspect

Police say they found the man is accused of trying to hide from officers while they're looking to take him into custody for a parole and probation violation.

A 27-year-old Franksville man is accused of trying to hide from Caledonia police officers under his neighbor’s motor home while trying to avoid arrest.

Brent Beth was charged in Racine County Circuit Court Monday with one count of resisting an officer. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

Beth's trouble began Friday, when Caledonia police officers went to his parents' home in the 4100 block of Nicholson Road to arrest him on a probation and parole violation, according to the criminal complaint. Officers searched the house, and were unable to find Beth.

They then took their hunt outside, and reported he was eventually found hiding under a mobile home in a neighbor's yard.

Beth is currently being held in the Racine County Jail. His bond on this case was set at $100 cash, but the Department of Corrections wants him held in custody due to the suspected probation and parole violation that brought officers to his home in the first place.
