Kenosha Woman Taken For A Ride After Selling Her Car To Co-worker

She wanted to sell her car, her co-worker wanted a car... it was a deal made in heaven. But things went horribly wrong quickly in this car sale.

A Kenosha woman tried to file a theft report with the after she agreed to sell her car to her co-worker in a private sale, but the sale went sour.

Now the woman who bought the car has disappeared with the car and the car seller hasn’t received any of the payments the woman was supposed to make.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, the victim had agreed in June to sell her 2012 Nissan Sentra to the woman in exchange for making the payments on her loan. The woman still has the car, but she hasn’t made any payments for two months and hasn’t taken her name off of the loan or the registration.

The officer told the woman that this was a civil issue, not a criminal case. However, the officer made a few inquiries on the woman’s behalf.

The officer called the suspect’s mother, who lives in Caledonia. She said her daughter left four to five months ago and her phone had been disconnected.
