Man Arrested For Battery After Scuffle With Neighbor

A man was arrested for battery after he allegedly smashed a man’s face with a rock in the 7200 block of Cliffside Drive on Wednesday, May 12.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police, Ricky Steil, 21, of Racine, was arrested for disorderly conduct, substantial battery/assault with a dangerous object, criminal damage to property and trespassing at 11:01 p.m.

Police were called to the area for a report of three juveniles fighting. While they were looking for the boys, police found a man bleeding from the right side of his face. A woman told police the names of the three people involved in the fight.

Steil and another man were arguing over a woman when a neighbor came outside and confronted the group because his child was trying to sleep and he asked them to quiet down. The woman said “Ricky, just out of nowhere snapped” and he threw a large rock that hit the victim in the eye and nose.

She also found that her car had been damaged. Charges have not yet been filed.
