A South Milwaukee man was taken to an area hospital after a deer jumped in front of the motorcycle he was driving at 7:56 p.m. Sunday.
Darrell Hale was driving his motorcycle southbound on Douglas Avenue near Botting Road when a fawn ran across the road, knocked down his motorcycle and he fell off the bike.
Hale skidded about 100 feet on the road before stopping and the motorcycle continued about 247 feet away from where the deer crashed into it. The fawn was killed from the impact, according to a report by the Caledonia Police Department.
