Two People Injured in a Two-car Crash
Milwaukee man arrested for being under the influence of his prescription medicine.
Two people were injured in a two-car crash that happened at 8:20 p.m. on Friday on Northwestern Avenue at Emmertsen Road.
A Caledonia couple, Donald and his wife, Lucy Carlson, suffered non-life threatening injuries, but were taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital. Personnel from the Caledonia Fire Department had to cut Donald out of the car, according to a report by the Caledonia Police Department.
Angel Burgos, 29, of Milwaukee, was arrested for suspicion of driving and using prescritpion drugs. He admitted to police he was on medication for bipolar disorder and depression.

βAngel was confused and was upset because he believed he was not intoxicated at all and that he was on prescription medicines,β according to the report.
However, Officer Matt Vannucci explained the law regarding prescription medications and driving, which prohibits drivers from being under the influence of prescription drugs and medication.

Burgos, who was in the right lane of Northwestern Avenue, crashed the mini-van he was driving into a 2003 Toyota, which was driven by Donald Carlson. Carlson was driving his car northbound on Emmertsen Road.
