Contract Awarded for Kremer Subdivision, Work Begins Soon

Road, sewer and water work in the Kremer subdivision will begin in the next few weeks.

Road and sewer work will begin soon in the Kremer subdivision now that the Village Board has approved and signed a contract for construction.

Globe Contractors of Pewaukee was awarded the $6.5 million contract on April 8, at a joint meeting of the Village Board and the Caledonia Utility District Commission.

The company's total bid was $6,456,125.50.

They will set a construction timeline and schedule at a pre-construction meeting on Monday.

The project will include replacing water and sewer lines as well as widening roads throughout the neighborhood and adding curb and gutter. Residents have expressed their displeasure with plans to do anything other than replace the approrpriate utility pipes and repave the streets.
