Looking To Use The Yard Waste Site In Caledonia?

Here are the ins and outs of what you'll need to know.

So you are out doing yard work on these warmer-than-most days and you are pulling out those unwanted flower and vegetable skeletons leftover from the garden last year.

But what to do with them?

Take those grass clippings; leaves, brush and branches to the Village of Caledonia’s yard waste drop off.

Here’s what you’ll need to know:

What: Yard Waste Drop-Off Site

Where: 6900 Nicholson Road, west of the safety building

When: 1:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Sometimes the site will be closed for inclement weather. Please call (262) 835-4551 to confirm that the site is open.

How: The branches have to be less than 20 inches in diameter and less than six feet long. The site won’t accept any other items, but if you are looking to clean up your yard a bit this is the way to do it. Oh, and you’ll need to show proof of residency, so bring a picture ID.
