Man's Obama Yard Sign Burned

Caledonia police say there's no evidence of who may have destroyed the sign.

A man called 911 after someone set his Obama yard sign on fire at a home in the 7800 block of Douglas Avenue 2:11 p.m. Friday.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, the man told police he suspected his neighbor had lit the sign on fire after a witness saw the sign smoldering in the front yard. When the witness walked up to the driveway, he saw the man's neighbor walking back down the driveway. The neighbor told police he didn’t start the fire.

Police said the two neighbors have had an ongoing, but civil disagreement with one another. However, they have no proof that the neighbor lit the man’s sign on fire and no citations will be issued.
