Racine Unified to Fill Vacant Board Seat Monday

The RUSD Board of Education Monday will interview 10 residents interested in taking the seat left vacant by Gretchen Warner.

The Racine Unified Board of Education Monday will fill the seat left vacant after Gretchen Warner resigned last month.

A total of 10 interested citizens submitted application materials for consideration. They are:Β Cecelia Anguiano, Raymond DeHahn, John Fisher Jr. D.C., Chuck Goodremote, Gregory M. Mach, Mark McCleary, Robert Mozol, Henry Perez, Guadalupe (Wally) Rendon and Robert Wittke.

Board members will interview each candidate starting at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Then, at the conclusion of the individual meetings, the BOE will select the successful applicant. That person will serve until April 2014, and will have the option of running to retain their seat in that election.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Unified Administration Building, 3109 Mt. Pleasant Street. It is open to the public.
