Tiderman Pulls Out Of Caledonia Trustee Race

Jim Tiderman, a Caledonia resident running for village trustee, has decided not to run.

Citing a work conflict, Jim Tiderman, a candidate for the Village Trustee 3 spot, has announced that he will drop out of the race.

Tiderman is part of a group that has staunchly opposed the Walmart development.

Even though Tiderman made the announcement on the No Walmart in Rural Caledonia Facebook page, his name will remain on the ballot because he can't legally take it off.

Here's what he wrote:

I wanted to let everyone know right away that due to my conflicting work schedule in the transportation industry, I will not be running for Trustee Seat #3. However, I will support Maureen Cramer throughout this election process. I cannot commit my time to the Board the way I anticipated and I am truly sorry. I will continue to support the community the same way I have tried through discussions pertaining to our Land Use Plan and current options of controlled growth.
