RUSD Offering Busing Options for Kids Heading to Babysitter, Grandma, Other Parent

District works with divorced and working parents to send kids to the right place.

The Racine Unified School District is offering special busing options for kids who need to be picked up or dropped off somewhere other than their parents' house.

Kids can be delivered to grandma's or a babysitter's house, if the plan is set up in advance and the drop-off location is within the school's attendance boundaries.

The district will also work with divorced parents who need children picked up from one parent's house and dropped off at another's. Parents in those situations need a signed divorce decree.

RUSD busing forms need to be filled out every year, so even if you've done this before, you need to do it again.

Applications for next year must be filled out by July 1, and can be found here.
