Abbi Strack is no quitter.

She has being playing football since she was in the third grade, and in a few months she'll start her senior year for the Horlick Rebels as a defensive end.

When she first began playing, a coach put in her in as a defensive end in the hopes that she might quit. What that coach didn't know was that Abbi's three older brothers taught her how to tackle well. And instead of quitting, she made 15 tackles over the course of one game. Needless to say, that coach kept her in the game.

Now, she's realized at least one dream -- to be the first girl at Horlick to have played football for all four years. Her teammates have long accepted her as one of their own and see the value of having a player (not a girl) that is small, agile and aggressive. And, yes, she hits boys hard, said Louis and Jose Ruiz.
