Referendum Meeting Set for Monday is Canceled

Meetings still on for Wednesday, March 30 and Thursday, March 31.

An informational meeting on the upcoming school referendum, planned for Monday, March 28 at Schulte Elementary School, 8515 Westminster Drive, Sturtevant, has been canceled because of a scheduling conflict, according to a Racine Unified School District spokesperson.

Parents and community members are invited to attend another session on Wednesday, March 30 or Thursday, March 31.

Wednesday’s meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Racine Public Library’s West Learning Center, 75 Seventh St.

On Thursday, the public is invited to Fratt Elementary, 3501 Kinzie Ave. Student-led tours of the school’s new multi-purpose room addition start at 5:30 p.m. followed by an informational meeting at 6 p.m.

Another public event on Thursday is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Park High School, 1901 12th St., with tours of the recently remodeled Park Field House, which was built with proceeds from the 2008 maintenance referendum, and the school’s Automotive Department, constructed through a 2001 referendum.

Voters will be asked to approve three school spending questions, totaling $128.5 million on the April 5 ballot.
